Flamenco in Whittier
Back in September, the wife and I went to watch a friend perform Flamenco dance in Whittier. It was a lot of fun to watch but a bit of a challenge to photograph. The auditorium was dark and I was confined to my seat during the performance. Being limited with taking pictures let me enjoy the show better so I'm not complaining. More pictures here.

My God, it's full of stars!
I had the day off on Veterans Day so I decided to visit the Griffith Observatory. I hadn't been there since it reopened in 2006 after a few years of remodeling. The new observatory is pretty damn cool with some new additions like a solar telescope and a periodic table with real elements. It was great to see families out enjoying science. More pictures here.

Celebrating the Dead
October was a busy month for me but I still found a little time to go out and shoot. I was happy to make it out to the annual Day of the Dead celebration at Hollywood Forever cemetery. Even with the rain that weekend, throngs of people showed up to see bands, altars, and aztec dancers. More pictures here.
